Re: Formula 1
You weren't the only one.
When Hamilton complained of a vibration i thought "yes he's gone". But was just front wing.
Yeah saw Webber's flying trick & agree that latest is nothing.

Re: Formula 1
Gonna be a good'un tonight I reckon How exciting is that first corner going to be? If the Red Bulls can get through that first lap cleanly in 1st and 2nd I reckon they will lap half the field
Couple of big names didn't make it to final 10 in Qual last night.

Yep agree.
Be interesting what comes out of the Front wing change with Vettel & Webber.

Re: Formula 1
Oh how much did you love that start Hamilton touches Vettel, gives him a puncture and he goes to the back of the field Let's just hope Webber can keep it together for the win.
I actually didn't hear about the wing until just now Willy. No wonder Webber was pissed off! Vettel gets both new noses, simply because he was in front of Webber on the points table Fat lot of good it did him

Re: Formula 1
And Webber has Vettel's old chassis as well.
So he was even more determined to beat him tonight.
Looking good so far, Mark is rattling off Fastest Laps with ease.
Go Mark

Ohhh it was great to watch.
Only heard about the chassis thing tonight on the news, how many times can a team make up in one season. Think it is going to be frosty in red bull camp for a while to come.

Like Mark said "If i had found out i was going to be No2 driver i would never had resigned with Red Bull".
I hope he wins the whole lot & shove it so far up the Red Bull team management's arse.

Re: Formula 1
To be fair, it will be interesting to see what sort of treatment he gets now he is back in front on the table. Mind you, it could be tainted with the comments he has made and the stomping around he has done.
Having said that, I was happy to see him get what would have to be the best start I have seen him get and go past even when he was getting chopped off. Well done to him. I hope he can show the same focus under pressure from here on out. He will be tough to beat. I still think he has every chance of taking out the whole show. Might be worth putting a few bob on it!

Re: Formula 1
Taken from the UK Telegraph:
"Battle of Britain? And the rest. Red Bull were facing accusations of rank civil war on Sunday night after an extraordinary British Grand Prix won by Australia’s Mark Webber ended with the one half of the team’s garage allegedly taunting the other with a body part from the winning car."
"It was extraordinary stuff. But perhaps not as extraordinary as the alleged shenanigans in the pitlane below him where Horner’s worst nightmares were apparently unfolding. Webber’s mechanics were said to have removed the 'old’ front wing that Webber had been forced to race with and waved it at Vettel’s side of the garage. They, just as much as Webber, had been angered by the apparent favoritism shown by Red Bull’s management and were not afraid to show the world that simmering resentment."
Even Stirling Moss was giving it too the Red Bull bosses:
"As the packed grandstands raised the roof prior to lights-out, the Australian exchanged a few words with Sir Stirling Moss. As if he needed any more inspiration.
The exact details of the conversation remain unknown but the legendary British racer probably told him exactly how he would have coped in a similar situation. “I think what Mark Webber should do is say ’OK, give him [Vettel] the best parts, and I’ll go out and beat him anyway,” the 80-year-old told the BBC cameras. And that is exactly what Webber did. “An appointment with Karma?” he mused."

Re: Formula 1
So what happens now with Red Bull?
Both are on equal points but Mark is ahead because of race wins.
With the new F Duct due to be installed on the cars who is going to get it?
Suppose to make the cars faster.
Was a good race, but how about the team orders by Ferrari.

Re: Formula 1
Yes, I expect there will be some questions about the Ferrari radio chat Massa made it quite clear in the post race interview what he thought of it. I know I might be a bit biased, but you almost think they buried Webber back in the pack like that deliberately, while pitting Vettel to come back out in clean air. I so wanted vettel to come together with Alonso off the start, he is making a habit of trying to push other cars inthe pit wall
At least the media attention might be taken off Red Bull for a bit

Re: Formula 1
I have to say that I went to bed after RB put Webber out in traffic after putting Vettel out in clear air. I mean FFS, if you are going to put him out in that after a 3.8 second pit stop......leave him out for a while to get him ahead of that pack....Button showed that the tyres had plenty of life in them....pfffft.

Re: Formula 1
Ferrari hit with a fine for giving team orders.........
Yeah agree, that was BS to put Mark out like that.
And agree too Triggs, Button did it easy & got in front of Webber.
But Webber did have an issue at the end with the oil pump pick up. Wasn't pumping oil apparently & they were worried about blowing the engine. (Wonder if that engine is Vettels old one )

Re: Formula 1
Wow the RB is a league of their own in Hungry, will be interesting to see that start and what Vettel tries to do to Webber of the start line. Hope Webber gets Vettel by the first corner and they finish 1-2.
Was a bit disappointed with these comments from Webber Link. He was so angry about RB favoring Vettel and now he thinks it is fine for Ferrari to favor Alonso, not sure he would say that if was asked to slow down and let Vettel pass.

Re: Formula 1
WTF is Red Bull trying to do to Mark Webber?
Why didn't they pull him in on the safety car?
What a disaster in the pits, wheel comes flying off, crash, it's all happening.

Re: Formula 1
Holy christ what was Schumacher thinking when he tried putting Rubens into the end of pit wall.
That was just disgusting driving.
Nice win by Webb's.
Did you see the body language on Vettel he was fuming.
Time to suck it up & start accepting the rules also the fact that your team mate is as if not faster than you.

Re: Formula 1
Wow what a race. I could not believe they did not pit Webber but I guess if they did he would have never jumped Alonso so in hindsight can see what they thought, only issue would have been if there had been another incident to bring the pace car out. Great drive to keep consistently lapping as fast as he did and keep the soft tyres going, awesome win.
Looking at the replay of how close Rubens came to hitting that wall was scary, Schui I think has got of lightly given if he pushed Rubens into the wall at that speed he could have seriously injured or killed him.
Nice to see the 3 new teams have both cars finish, who is going to be the first to score points? If anyone?

Re: Formula 1
Well Ferrari to front the FIA World Motor Sport council on Sep 8 about the German GP team orders stuff.
Schumacher gets 10 grid penalty and kinda apologises to Rubens [I still think he does not believe he has done anything wrong but weight of public opinion has forced him to say something].

Re: Formula 1
4 weeks of F1 on holiday is about to come to an end this weekend. Looking forward to seeing some racing action and hopefully Webber continue to do well.
I had read that RB had to have more tests on their front wing but have not heard the results, anyone else?
All interesting to see just how much work was not done over the summer break by the teams.
