Re: Cricket in general
well first test was not really more than a training session in the end.
This test is looking interesting but if the track keeps flattening out the Ozzies should be able to chase what ever the Kiwis set.

Re: Cricket in general
The scary part Watzi, is that the Aussies just didn't bowl well on the pitch in the NZ second innings. You could see when they put it in the right spot it was still swinging. If the Kiwis bowl as well in the Aussie second innings as they did in the first, I reckon we are in trouble. The Kiwis Chris Martin is bowling well, but geez he is funny to watch batting
Re: Cricket in general
Well, a sad day indeed Have to say they bowled so well after lunch, that ball was moving a mile. Not to sound like a poor loser, but would have been interesting if Australia was fielding it's A team
Now..WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO GET RID OF PHIL HUGHES????? Man, he dropped a sitter off Taylor and let him get some runs, then he was so lucky that NZ didn't review that decision in the 2nd innings, he would have been gone for a duck!

You following the BigBash? I can not really get into the 2020 cricket. Waiting for Boxing day now.
Some changes but not enough, yes there have have been some great servants to Australian cricket but time to get some of these new batsmen in the side. Sure they will not perform consistently but we need them to get experience. I hope they stick with Khawaja for a while at 3 and move Watson down to 6 and maybe time for a new keeper as well.

Re: Cricket in general
Looks like day 3 is wicket taking day at the MCG. Nice work in the morning by the boys and now 2 Aussies back in the shed already and from what I have read its their own fault *sigh*

Great win. Did you head down to see any of the action live BM?
Couple more days to Sydney, any idea what sort of pitch the SCG has these days? Still a bit of a turner?

Re: Cricket in general
Didn't get to the ground as we were interstate then had friends staying with us. Watched it on tv though. What a brilliant win. Didn't think we were a chance for a while there.
Haven't heard anything about the SCG pitch yet. Hopefully it will be a seamers pitch so Aus can play 4 quicks

Re: Cricket in general
I know I should be confident of getting the remaining 8 wickets but feel a bit nervous with the road that seems to be the SCG pitch. I can only hope that it starts to break up and Lyon can take a few wickets.
Great innings from Ponting, Clarke and Hussey. Ohhh and Haddin drops another regulation catch.

Re: Cricket in general
Yep I expected a lot of closer cricket. I guess what has surprised me the most is the Australian bowling, taking wickets for frequently and not just one but more often than not 2 or 3 in a bunch.
This test was won in 1 session really, I did not see it but I imagine it would have been awesome to watch.

Was brilliant Watzi. they came out after lunch and bowled so well. Hilfy got 3 wickets in one over which pretty much did it. Best part was seeing that Zaheer Khan wanker go for a golden duck
Re: Cricket in general
Yep heading for another 4 day game total domination again. Saw the highlights and some of the fields where amazing.

As long as the weather does not interfere tomorrow should be a 4-0 whitewash. Have not seen Hilfys run out but hear it was awesome.

Re: Cricket in general
2012 a good year for the Australians. Whitewash test series and now remember how to win in the 50 over game. Great to see.
England lose 3-0 to Pakistan. If Pakistan ever play to their full potential they will be a really good side.

Sorry I haven't responded to your posts Watzi, had some dodgy guests staying with us (Willy and wife)
LOVED seeing England get done like that, always good seeing England lose Aus started off ok in the 20 and 50 over matches, but been a bit up and down lately. Warner and Wade having a couple of quiet games, and Starc bowling an average last over the other night. Starting to make it a tight tri-series.

Its always nice to have good friends stay over BM, no worries. I have been a bit MIA as well.
Great game in progress for the Aussies, most batsmen made some sort of score and now the Indians are 4/40

Would he need a hazmat suit???
Triangle series gets close after last night. Hard to see India making the final but you never know. I have not really watched it closely but interesting thing is over this series we have started to see new talent emerge which is great.

Re: Cricket in general
Well a great way to finish the cricket season with a win. Did not realise it was such a quick turn around to the WI, first one day game there is on Friday.
If I have understood all the results I believe, Vics did not make the Sheffield Shield final, Qld to host Tas. I still don't get the points system and how they all ended up on 36 points when there where different number of outright wins and wins on first innings.

Re: Cricket in general
Yeah, I didn't think they were going to win the series against Sri Lanka Watzi. Luckily McKay stood up for a change and bowled well. It is a damn quick turnaround to the West Indies, they were on the plane 2 days later! Currently trying to find out if the first ODI is on TV on Friday.
Go Tassie!!!!!
