Re: Formula1 - 2012
Nah i don't think so Watzi
Webber couldn't even pass Riccardo even with DRS opened.
I know he had KERS problems but he had no pace & he had the better tyres.
I still questioned the pitting of Mark that late in the race.
Since Mark has signed on the dotted line everything has gone pear shaped.
Vettel was gone for the year but then he all of a sudden found this mysterious pace & Mark lost the plot.
I think Mark's chances of the championship are gone.

Re: Formula1 - 2012
well the crazyness has started. Lewis is off to merc and perez is off to mclaren. no news yet on schewy on what hes doing. looking forward to how this will all work out. I can see why lewis went to merc as mclaren's engine deal runs out with merc and in 2014 with the new engine regs merc will have a stronger understanding on how to get the best out of it and the aero to go with it. read today that bernie wants to scrap the new engine regs but i call bs on that.

I could not believe he moved either.
I can not see Shuey continuing unless he gets a decent ride and he has not shown enough to do that.
Count down on to Japan, hoping we get a good race.

Re: Formula1 - 2012
yeah i too thought hamilton would stay but im not surprised he left. As i said the new engine changes i do think would have been a big factor. yeah i too doubt we will see schuey next year racing, like what watzi said he will only stay if its with a good team. and at the moment the only seat from a top team up for grabs is the ferrari seat and i just dont see that happening. looking forward to this weekend's race

Re: Formula1 - 2012
He was a bit unlucky this year but he also caused some huge accidents. Not a huge surprise as he was unlikely to get a good race seat.

Hate when you get a yellow flag just a drivers are doing there final run. Good to see Webber doing well and hopefully that can translate to a great race.

Re: Formula1 - 2012
Great to see the first lockout by Red Bull this season. Don't think the yellow really stuffed anybody up did it Watzi? I think Vergne was more of a hindrance than the yellow flag Great to see the race on at a resonable time
Re: Formula1 - 2012
FFS Grosjean!!
Could have been a great race if Webber amd Alonso had made it past the first lap

Re: Formula1 - 2012
While a shit move by Grosjean, what happened to Webbers start, Vettle had well gone by the time the incident occurred. Well left in no doubt about what Webber thought, no surprise really, but surprised that Horner came out with such strong words.
Great fight to get back to ninth, pitty the safety car could not have done just one more lap. [Yep wearing my Webber glasses again].
I actually enjoyed the race, not a great GP but enjoyable.

Re: Formula1 - 2012
No comments about the race?
Redbull controlled race from start to end, disappointing that Webber could not get a better start but I think with the pace that Vettel showed he would have passed him anyway, especially in the second stint when Webber just could not get the tyres going.
It was a pretty boring race really.
Vettel to comfortably retain his title at this rate.

Re: Formula1 - 2012
yeah was a pretty straight foward race at the front. some decent scraps further back down the field but nothing overly exciting. I do wish that the korean race was a bit more exciting not just for us tv viewers but also at the track. maybe im being a bit harsh *shrugs*

Re: Formula1 - 2012
Yeah, not a REALLY exciting race, but I was looking forward to hearing the order if Webber had of caught up to Vettel Did you hear the commentators jokes when Massa was told to back off behind Alonso? They said he was told to stay further back so he had a better view of the track and to keep the car cool Would have been a great situation with Massa and Webber both being told to slow down What do you think the orders would have been if Webber was leading from Vettel towards the end of the race? Do you think Red Bull would have had the courage to tell him to let Vettel past?
Vettel really doesn't like slowing down does he? To hear his engineer saying that he could crash at any moment without any notice, and having to tell him multiple times to back off.
What about Kobayashi!! What do they say, one day a rooster the next a feather duster?? Such a great result last race then he makes a stupid mistake like that and takes out Button and Rosberg.
Poor old Hamilton had a SHOCKER!!! Everything that could go wrong did, and just when he looked like ganing those two places up to 8th he snags a couple of metres of the astro turf
Excellent result for Daniel Ricciardo finishing 9th. Now he has 9 points!! I thought he finished in 8th ahead of Vergne?? Must have been passed on the last lap and I didn't see it.

Re: Formula1 - 2012
What got me was that the pole position was on the opposite side of the track.
It made no real sense as the pole sitter got the poor line going into turn 1.
Mind you Mark did have a bad second phase on the start.
Kobayashi really does have some brain fades at times.
Like you said BM great race previous but then crap the next.
Missed the finished of the race but was having a good chuckle about Hamilton.
He really doesn't want to be driving that car.
It is fairly simple, Mark will not win a tittle with Vettel at RB.

Re: Formula1 - 2012
A rumor that has doing the rounds: Vettel to Ferrari in 2014. Massa has now signed a 1 year contract at Ferrari.
I don't think RB would have imposed team orders if Webber had been leading.
I agree Willy all you need is a reasonable start in second and you have a great run into the first corner. Hamilton was a bit unlucky to pick up the carpet and you really see the effect of something like that on aero performance.

Re: Formula1 - 2012
When Hamilton crossed the finish line I said to my wife, he should just turn right and drive it into the pit wall
Re: Formula1 - 2012
I thought he was going to cry at one stage there BM when he was talking to the pits.
5 laps in & he was complaining about the tyres.
Then when challenged for position he found speed.

Tyre selection for the last four races. I am not sure but can this help Webber win the last 4 races
India (New Delhi) - hard, soft
Abu Dhabi (Yas Marina) - medium, soft
United States (Austin) - hard, medium
Brazil (Interlagos) - hard, medium

Re: Formula1 - 2012
So Mark has a problem again with KERS.
When is Red Bull going to get this right for him.
Vettel very rarely has any KERS issues.

Re: Formula1 - 2012
Yep very frustrating. He should have had 2nd not sure he would have gotten first.
Think it funny that Webber had to give Vettel a push at the end.
A two horse race now but I can not see Vettel losing it unless he has some mechanical problems.

Re: Formula1 - 2012
I was thinking that after that race it was the most interaction I had seen ebtween Webber and Vettel. The pats on the backs, laughing etc.
Only exciting part of the race was the start with Alonso, hamilton and Button dicing on the first half of the lap, and then at the end hoping Hamilton wouldn't catch Webber.
