rFactor F1 Mods

While we are talking about F1 mods, do any of you have a preference for a specific rfactor f1 mod? My 2 favourites so far have been F1 RFT 2009 and FSONE 2009. Was just about to do another quick comparison, but work is getting in the way

I now found that the F1 RFT 2010 mod was released earlier this month. Have just downlaosed it and will give it a try later to see how it looks. Links are here:

Edit: Just tried the F1 RFT 2010 mod and love it The Suzuka track looks and feels a lot better than the 2009 version too. Has a great "Telemetry" screen, just wish I knew what language it was in

Just raced around Suzuka & the bouncing threw the steering wheel was a little off putting.

I know this is probably what happens but when other mods don't have it, it is a little funny.

Interesting they have a cheat way of setting up, makes it a little easier to get a good balance.

Might try the 2010 map of Suzuka.

Did you have any trouble with bumps on the track?

Nah, had trouble with the bumps OFF the track though

Now that track is better.

But i found out you can short shoot the last chicane & not get penalized.

As i came up to the last chicane i missed my braking marker & ended up short shooting the chicane all together.
Must be a bug in the program as i didn't get a penalty for missing the corner/s.

Hehe, I know what you meant. personally I hate "short shooting"

I am running the 2010 F1RT Mod & i am enjoying it.

Love the sounds when in replay

Could setup a server or something with RFT F1 2010 on it, but would needs us all to ahve the mod and tracks. Am a bit concverned that Ulti would flog us too

I don't race at ORA anymore, and was thinking of some Thursday night racing, but might be away in Melbourne for the next 5 or 6 Thursdays.

Wheel is on the desk as I am playing F1 2010 atm so it wont even be that much of a stretch. Nice to play with and against you folk again.

I am interested and a lot more "time rich" to use that wanker management speak at the moment with a Tues/Wed/Thurs/Sunday (Sunday may change with the BFF DOD comp kicking off soon) nights are completely free at the moment.

I will have to dust of the wheel as I have transported it to a few LANs over the last 9 months but it has not come out of the box.

Was hoping to start up a server tonight, but having trouble hosting a game. I used to be able to do it without any problems Checked all my Port Forwarding, firewall etc, so will see how I go. Now just in case it is me not being able to log on from my laptop, I have left the server up and running with the RFT F1 2010 mod at Suzuka. As normal, it is called "BM", and has a password of "ultima" If any of you get a chance, can you see if you can see it, and if you can join it? You should definately be able to see it, but maybe not join it, with a "Join Timed Out" error.

I have a couple of days off work to get some major work done in the yard while the rain has stopped, well at least today anyway. So will see if the old body is up to it tonight after a day of shovelling dirt/mud and gravel

hahaha nice bm. Yeah i maybe home late tonight, but i should be able to jump on and check if i can join the server tonight.

Well I have down loaded the mod and maps and have even connected to BMs server OK, just did a couple of blistering laps you boys should start to quake at my 2:38s, now I am running off to hide, I blame the fact I am driving a Lotus!!!

Excellent, that is great Watzi, I just tested and I can join the server too (I am running a dedicated server) I was going to make the password "iloveultima" Ulti

If anybody wants a different track, let me know. I do love Monaco in these too

I have made a few changes to the server. I have removed the password, to see what happens, disabled mismatches, as Watzi said he was getting kicked with a mismatch, added a few other tracks..Monaco, Silverstone, AbuDhabi and Suzuka, and set to allow Traction Control etc in case some have problems with car handling.

Ran a few laps with BM late last week which was fun but do miss having vent or the like to chat while driving, find it very difficult to type and try to drive.
