Good review Ulti. Makes me wonder why it is so cheap. I just pre-ordered it off eBay for about $40.00.

Re: F1 2011
Have you given it a try yet Ulti? Damn thing won't run on my home pc for some reason. Says I meet minimum specs (Windows XP, DirectX 9.0), but then says recommended specs is Windows 7 with DirectX 11. What are you running on your PC Ulti? What are you other guys running on your PCs? If Windows 7, which version..Home Premium, Enterprise, Ultimate?? Can pickup Home Premium for about $115. (currently downloading Windows 7 Enterprise from work, but don't know if I can get a product key for it).
Re: F1 2011
yeah it works for me, running win7 with a DX11 card but im not running DX11. i put it back to DX9.
Havent had a lot of time with the game yet, but it doesnt feel right. well right to me from all the other f1 games and sim games ive played. The speed of the game doesnt feel right, i have basically no feeling through the wheel (very little force feedback, even when on max), so i have no idea what the car is doing. there are alot of issues still on their forums to be addressed, which may fix some of my issues

Re: F1 2011
Which version of Windows 7 Ulti?
I have always found those racing "games" never have good FFB like real sims...i.e rFactor, LFS etc. Glad I didn't spend too much on the game, as I am not holding out high hopes for it being anything great. Just thought it might be something to keep me amused unti rF2 comes out

Re: F1 2011
well i may just wait & see what the masses think.
Looks nice but eye candy may have taken over other options (FFB).

Re: F1 2011
Got it running. Re-formatted pc, clean install of XP, and it now runs. Funny thing is wouldn't install without XP SP3, but I a sure I didn't have installed before and it let me install it. Maybe that was the problem.
Anyway, onto the game. Really crappy FFB Ulti, horrible to drive. Also found it hard to lose control of the car. You can turn as hard as you want and it just turns, no spinning out. Reckon I will get sick of it fairly quickly.
Save your money for rF2 Willy
Btw Ulti, which forums were you referring to above? I can't get onto any of the Codemaster forums.

Re: F1 2011
Yep, worked that out, and felt rather silly One other thing that annoys me, not about the game though, is that with the G25 you only have 2 buttons on the wheel, and these are best allocated to KERS and DRS, which means I don't have any buttons left to look left, righ and behind I have some spare aluminium plate and bush buttons, so might make something up to attach to the wheel.omething like this could be cool, but a bit too big for my liking. http://mjmpc.com.au/index.php?content=mspec&product=R25XSP
Re: F1 2011
And, it won't recognise the clutch pedal on my pedals!! I use that as the brake, as it is easier with the legs that little further apart, but it won't let me.
I do have to say though the game can be addictive in Career mode

And just to add another thing to the list!! Qualified in 10th place in Q3 at Melbourne, and it starts me in 20th position on the grid???
You been playing it much Ulti? Tried career mode?
